Remember the toys. Pom-poms, mini-megaphones, sponge footballs, florescent wearables and noisemakers. And don't forget the big foam finger! In addition to making your rooms look festive, you'll have party favors for your guests. When the party is over, allow guests to take a few items home with them. Don't forget to provide guests with face/body paint as they enter the party. Pre-game games for everyone. Have board-games and trivia that is centered on football facts or on the commercials that have been premiered during the Super Bowl. Have an official size football handy for an impromptu game of "touch football" in the front yard or fellowship hall. Balloons, balloons and balloons. One of my Evangelistic Watch Party mottos is "You can't share Jesus too many times, and you can't have too many balloons". Your party locations should be a bastion of balloons with the colors of the competing Super Bowl teams. Each time a team scores, have their fans go pop one of the balloons of the other team. If you have lots, let them pop one for each point! ( Hat pins optional ! ) Memories on film. Take plenty of pictures. Provide guests with disposable cameras to catch each other in the act of frivolity. Not posed pictures, but rather those that say "Boy, was I having fun!". Use a digital camera, computer and printer, create a montage for each person to take home. Remember to add those little cartoon text balloons for added fun. Kids, young and old. There are some people who have trouble sitting through 3 hours of intense football fun. And that doesn't include the pre-game show, the post-game show and the post-post game follow-up. "Isn't it over yet?" is not a question that the true fans want to hear again and again. Have a side area set aside for other stuff like video games, board-games or knitting club. Everyone will thank you for it. "Pre" means "before" Prepare means doing things beforehand. Plan some down time before the party to relax and collect your thoughts. Remember, your guests will only be expecting to watch a game and eat...anything else you do in terms of decorating, games or favors is just extras. You should plan have a good time too. Life is to short to miss out on the fun! Besides, someone has to find time to share the Gospel during half-time and isn't that why we're here in the first place?
