Sound:  Let's face it, half the fun of watching the game is all the screaming and yelling.  If possible hook up your TV to your sound system and make it like you're really at the game.  Make sure the sound is up loud enough to build excitement, but low enough to talk to one another.   Remember, your main purpose is to share Jesus.  If you can, have a separate room available that is quiet enough for people to get away from the game and have a "spiritual" conversation.

Scent:   I just love the aroma of fresh baked bread or the scent of spicy cheese queso bubbling in the crock pot.   Make sure that your party sight, whether it's your home or outdoors,  is baptized in flavorful aroma.  If you are outside, use your grill or a smoker to inundate the area with hickory or mesquite.  Your church gymnasium shouldn't smell of dirty socks, but pop-corn and hotdogs.  I've even had some churches put a fan behind the popcorn machine, just to get the aroma throughout the building.

Taste:  Not only are we "Evangelicals" but also "Eat'ngelicals".  We love to eat on Sundays!
Super Bowls are no exception.  Use your food as evangelism touch points. Use a computer to print "Jesus Loves you" on labels, and then wrap them around toothpicks. Use them as little flags on all your cupcakes or Hors d'oeuvre.  Serve food that can't be taken away easily, but rather the kind that you have to sit down to enjoy. It's easier to hit a stationary target than one that is moving.

Touch: Have things that people can take home with them.  Gifts and prizes, trinkets and treasures are all good, but even more important are the witnessing pieces that they take home too.  Acquire the best quality of witnessing materials that you can find.  Get familiar with it and use it during the party.  If you can, have a paperback New Testament available to give to those that make a decision for Christ at the event. People like to leave the party with their hands full.

Now back to our ABC's

Build a Bridge:  For some people, this is the hardest thing to do when it comes to Evangelistic Watch Parties. How do you get from point "A" (the game) to point "B" (the Gospel)?  There are various tools available to help you do just that.  Check the appendix at the back of this manual and see what we have to offer.  Sports Spectrum Magazine is a great tool to use at these events. It's a first rate sports magazine with a Christian bent on things.  Also, there are trading cards that have not only the football players NFL statistics, but also the personal testimony of the players.  There is also a video made available by the Super Bowl Evangelism Project team that has testimonies of 5 Houston Texans as well as the head coach, Bob McNair!  Sports Spectrum also has a Super Bowl watch party kit that includes 25 of the magazines, a video of NFL players testimonies and promotional posters as well.  Play the videos prior to the game, or at halftime.  Take time to share your walk with Christ by using a witnessing tract like "The Net".   All these tools are designed to help you build a bridge to that you can…...

Communicate Christ:   "I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…" (Romans 1:16) Tell people about Jesus!  Plan on it. Do it. Remember the lyrics that say: "It's my party, I can cry if I want too"?  Think about it, it's YOUR party.  You can talk about what
